Ronnie C. Schwinn, 72 passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at home of a brain tumor surrounded by family.
Ronnie was born in Bellingham, WA on September 26, 1946 to Charles B. and Verna Hulse Schwinn.
Ronnie honorably served his country on the USS Dixie in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966.
He married Marci Allen on May 5, 1967 together they had one daughter, Shauntel; they later divorced. Ronnie married Lynette Neddo on August 1, 1969 together they had one daughter Stephanie.
He worked for the department of defense in Ogden, UT and later at Hill AFB, for 37 years, retiring in 2002. Ronnie then worked for Box Elder School District from 2002-2017.
He was devoted family man who was active in his church, Victory Worship Center, where he served in many capacities. Ronnie was known as a gentle giant, he was kind, encouraging, humble, caring and quiet.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Lynette Schwinn, Brigham City; daughters: Stephanie Schwinn, Iowa; Shauntel (Kirk) Hales, Clinton; four grandchildren: Shaelene Clark; Cody Hales; Travis Hales; Sheyenne Hales and six great-grandchildren. He also survived by his siblings: Barbara Sibert; Roger Schwinn and Michael Schwinn.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Verna Schwinn and father-in-law Alvin “Lindy” Neddo.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 23rd at 11:00 am at Victory Worship Center, 535 E. 700 S., Brigham City, UT.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, May 22nd from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E. Brigham City, UT.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Huntsman Cancer Center for the treatment and research of glioblastoma.
