THEL CHAPMAN RITES HELD SUNDAY IN MALTA LDS CHURCH

Funeral services for Thel Chapman, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Elison of Malta were held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Malta LDS Church with Bishop Shirley Barlow presiding.

The organ prelude and postlude were played by Maurean Sanders and Invocation by L.P. Hall. The choir under the direction of J. Henry Thompson sang “Though Deepening Trials.” First speaker was Stella Hall. Ephraim Miller was also a speaker. A musical duet “Forbid Them Not.” Was rendered by Mr. and Mrs. J. Henry Thompson. The next two speakers were Chester Loveland and Orson Sanders with remarks by Bishop Barlow. Benediction was by E. Zollinger.

Burial was in the Malta Cemetery with Roland Harper offering the grave dedicatory prayer. Burial was under the direction of Payne Mortuary.

Pall bearers were Douglas Harper, Frank Ham, Donald Shaw and Roy Gunnel. Flowers were under the direction of Mrs. Helen Kelsey with Mrs. Mary Udy, Gladys Hill, Jennie Lee and Thora Wake and 17 primary boys and girls (friend of the deceased assisting, Sharon Whitaker, Marjory John, Delma Wight, Bobby Jean Wake, Ann Udy, Brent Udy, Denny Whitaker, Gar Elison, Billy Barrett, Kay Hill, Kerma Barlow, Hal Neddo, Joan Barnet, Jackie Neddo, Jackie Hutchison, Kay Harper and Jay Harper.
