Mary Jo Fries

RUPERT – Mary Jo Fries, 74, of Rupert passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center.

Mary was born September 11, 1942 in Declo, Idaho to Ada and Anthon Ransom. She was married to Paul Fries whom she later divorced. She worked at B & B Market, Bridgeview Estates and Warren House. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed needlework, books and movies.

Mary is survived by her children Patty Dixon, Paula (Jim) Austin, Steven (Moria) Fries and Nicole (Eric) Bell. Grandchildren, Destiny Miller, Pamela Soto, Louis Frazee, Anthon Fries, Christopher, Shar Lynn, and Damon Dixon, Samantha, Shelby and Laynie Lewis. Great Grandchildren Sydnee, Brookelynn, Britian, London, Preston, Joey, Alianna, Ryan, Owen, Oakley and Anthon and her brother Anthon Ransom. She is preceded in death by her parents Ada and Anthon Ransom, brother Duane Ransom and sister Patricia Thomas.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Rupert West LDS 2nd Ward Building 26 S 100 W. Viewing for family and friends will be held one hour prior to services. Urn burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March18, 2017 at the Valley Vu Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
