HOLD LAURA SMTIH RITES WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura P. Smith were held at the Malta LDS Church Wednesday at 2 p.m.. with Bishop C. Ray Peterson of Boise officiating. The prayer at the mortuary was given by Pres. Ephraim Miller of the Raft River stake.

The organ prelude and postlude at the church were played by La Dell Hepworth. A mixed quartet composed of Elmo Elison. Wesley Bronson, Mathel Shaw and Barbara Udy sang “Sweet Hour of Prayer”; invocation, Harvey Wight; obituary and tribute by Bishop Peterson; speaker, Orson S. Sanders; slo, “Link Diving” by Parley Hall; speaker, Shirley H. Barlow: duet “The Bridge Builder” by Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Smith; speaker, Bishop W. C. Talbot of Boise, the quartet sang “Sometime We’ll Understand”; benediction Afton D. Nye.

Interment, under the direction of Paynes, was in the Malta cemetery. The grave dedication was by Lewis J. Gunnell.

The casket attendants were Ray, Dean and Junior Gunnell, Dale Smith, Milton Neddo and Rex Zobell. The floweres were under the direction of the Relief Society and carried by Inez Barlow, Lois Smith, Edra Gunnell, Violet Ward, Lois Whiltaker, Margaret Arbon, Thora Wape, Ada Parke, Marge, Gayle and Beth Gunnell, Kerma Barlow, Gladys Neddo, Lois Elison, Lucile Graham, and Judith Lynn Gunnell.
