MRS. WM E. THOMPSON DIES MONDAY NIGHT

Mrs. Jane Bosomworth Thompson 72, wife of William E. Of Malta died at the family home at 11 o’clock. After a lingering illness. One month before on Sep 17 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, with an open house in Malta. She was born in Yorkshire England on 15 Dec 1871. She came to the U.S. in Sep 1894 and was married the same month in Cleveland, Ohio. The couple returned to England and lived there until 1914 when they came to Utah. In 1916 they came to Cassia County. Living in Almo from 1916-1920. Then they settled in there present home in Malta.

Mrs. Thompson has been very active in Civic and Church Work. She served in the Presidency of the Raft River Stake R.S. and was a Sunday School officer.

Surviving are her husband of Malta, 2 sons Edward A. Of Portland and William B. Of Oakley. 2 daughters, Mrs. Grace Seeley of Brigham City and Mrs. Jennie Malberg of Portland. Another son J. Henry of Malta.

Funeral rites will be held Sat at 2 o’clock at the Malta LDS Ward. Bishop S.H. Barlow officiating.

A girl’s chorus directed by Barbara Udy sang. I.J. Neddo gave the Invocation. A choir from Almo directed by Asael Ward sang “How Firm the Foundation”. F.W. Seeley, a son-in-law read the obituary. Speakers were Orson Sanders and Orvil Ward. The Almo Choir sand “O My Father”. John Elison spoke. He was followed by Bishop Barlow. The Malta Chorus sang “My Peace I Leave with You” and Aaron A Zollinger gave the Benediction. J. Miller dedicated the grave at Malta Cemetery. Pallbearer: J.H. Thompson, Edward Thompson, Joseph Thompson, John Thompson, William B. Thompson, F. W. Seeley, Relief Society Ladies carried the flowers. Payne Mortuary directed.
