MANY ATTEND NYE FUNERAL SERVICES

The funeral of Fredrick J. Nye of Malta, who was killed instantly last week when kicked by a stallion, was held Sunday at 12:30 p.m. from Malta L.D.S. Church. The Church was crowded to it’s fullest capacity, with many standing outside. The character of the man was testified to by the large gathering of friends and acquaintances that assembled to pay their last tributes of respect to the deceased.

The speakers were Bishop Darrington of Almo, Bishop Whitely of Honeyville, Ut., William T. Harper of the Oakley Stake Presidency, Pres. Richard May of the Minidoka Stake. (All friends and associates of the deceased who had know him since childhood.)

The opening prayer was offered by I. J. Neddo of the Raft River Stake Presidency and benediction by Pres. John Elison of Raft River. The musical numbers were “The Lord Moves in the Mysterious Ways,” “I Know that My Redeemer Lives,” and “Abide with Me” by the choir. Vocal solo “I’ll go where you want me to go” by Joseph Payne of Paul. Interment was in Malta Cemetery.
