MALTA RESIDENT KILLED IN CRASH
Mrs. Ether Parke Is Killed Instantly; Husband Seriously Injured
Mrs. Cecilia Hutchison Parke, 54, wife of Ether Parke of Malta, was instantly killed and her husband was seriously injured in an auto-truck crash about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Malta. This is the 16the traffic fatality in Cassia county this year.
Mr. Parke was brought to Burley to the hospital, but full extent of his injuries has not been determined, although he was suffering from head injuries and severe shock, according to his attending physician.
The accident occurred when the Parke car, driven by Mrs. Parke, turned to the left infront of an Idaho gas truck driven by Henry A. Hendrickson of Pocatello, according to reports.
Locals official believe that Mrs. Parke was blinded by the sun and did not see the approaching truck, with was believed to be traveling about 25 miles per hour.
Mrs. Parke was born at Sublett Dec. 13, 1886, and is survived, besides her husband by the following children: Eunice Neddo, Florence Beigh, Ether Parke, Glen Parke, Cleone Frazier, Margaret War and Wilmer Parke.
The body is being held here at Payne Mortuary pending funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Cecilia Hutchison Parke, wife of Either Parke, who was killed Wednesday of last week in an auto accident in Malta, was buried in Malta cemetery Monday under the direction of the Payne Mortuary following services at 1 p.m. Monday in the Malta L.D.S. Church with Bishop John O. Smith officiating. Speakers at the services were Chloe Sanders and Wallace Ward.
