Ada Ransom

RUPERT – Ada Ransom, 75, Rupert, died Monday at the Minidoka Memorial Hospital.

Born July 25, 1908, at Conent, Idaho, she received her education in Elba before moving to Declo in 1927. She married Anthon H. Ransom on Oct. 1, 1927, Burley, Their marriage was solemnized in the LDS Temple, July 18, 1963.  They moved to Rupert, 1959, where she had since resided.  Mr. Ransom died in 1968.

She was a member of the LDS Church and active in the Relief Society.

Surviving are her two sons, Duane Ransom, Rupert, and Jay Ransom, Hill Force Base, Utah; two daughters, Pat Thomson, Heyburn, and Mary Jo Fries, Rupert; two brothers, Owen Allphin, Twin Falls, and Joe Cooper, Rupert; a sister, Eva Tyler, Tacoma; 10 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Hansen Mortuary Chapel, Rupert.  Burial will be in the Malta Cemetery.
